Vivian Lorene Brown Whitman, 90, of 13 Nealy Street, widow of James Luther Whitman, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at her home.
Born in Pendleton, she was a daughter of the late James Arthur and Lavada Chapman Brown. Mrs. Whitman was a retired employee with Woodside Mill in Liberty and was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Larry (Mary Elizabeth) Whitman of Easley, SC; daughters, Shelby Jean Welborn and Rita (David) Moore both of Liberty; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Central.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:50 PM, Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
