Lottie Mae Burt Bowens

Lottie Mae Burt Bowens, 71, wife of Larry James Bowens, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.

Born in Central, SC, she was a daughter of Zinnie Mae Burt Hamilton and the late James Paul Peppers, Sr.. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking, arranging flowers, volunteering in her community, spending time with her grandkids, and taking care of her extended family. She retired from Honeywell as a lead lab technician and shift chemist after forty-six years. Mrs. Bowens was a member of One Church in Easley, SC.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters, Monica Bowens Gramblin (Patrick) of Easley, Morria Bowens Goggin (Paul) of Atlanta, GA, and Consuelo Y. Bowens of Greenville, SC; sons, Patrick Jackson (Rachel) of Easley, Aaron Burt of Easley, Rico Burt (Michelle) of Dallas, TX, and Roger Miles of Dallas, TX; brothers, Timmy Hamilton, Tony Hamilton, and Gary Hamilton, all of Central, SC; sisters, Frances Walker, Debbie Hamilton, Theresa Hamilton, all of Central, SC and Ann Jackson of Liberty, SC; grandchildren, Raven Bariyiga (Victor) of Atlanta, GA, Kilah McKenzie of Greenville, SC, Patrick Gramblin, II of Easley, SC, and Olivia Gramblin of Easley, SC; and a great-grandson, Kaydence Ray of Greenville, SC.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Rev. Robert Hamilton; brothers, Robert Hamilton and James Paul Peppers, Jr.; and sisters, Barbara Ann Burt, Angela Smith, Alfreda Hamilton, LaMona Hamilton, Lillie Maude Peppers Grant, and Patricia M. Sweet.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Private entombment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.

Mrs. Bowens will be available for viewing on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road prior to her funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to One Church, 817 E. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640.
