Lottie Ellenburg Swanson, 71, of 400 Blair Street, died Sunday, April 12, 2009 after battling cancer for three years.

Born in Oconee County, the daughter of the late Garsie and Ressie Chapman Ellenburg, she retired after 36 years with Platt-Saco Lowell in 2000 and later worked with Teleflex of Pickens for 5 years. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are her husband, Luther W. Swanson of the home; one son, Marvin Swanson of Pickens; and one daughter Shirley Esuary and her husband, Tony of Pickens.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Ray Ellenburg.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wednesday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Revs. Robbie Eades and Jack Shook officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
