Lucian Grant "Lou" Lindsey, Jr., 78, of 236 Souliri Lane, died Friday, November 7, 2008, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of the late Lucian Grant Lindsey, Sr., and Annie Draper Lindsey. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and was a Veteran of the US Coast Guard. Mr. Lindsey was the president and owner of Greenville Steel Structures, Inc., and he was a member of University Lutheran Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.

Surviving are his wife, Iris B. Hill Lindsey of the home; a son, Lee L. Lindsey and Ona Sutton of Anderson, SC; two daughters, Dawn L. Pursley and husband Murray of Rock Hill, SC, Ann L. Lowe of Johnson City, TN; two step-sons, Donald H. Hill, Jr., and wife Patty of Woodruff, SC, Aaron H. Hill and wife Tara of Raleigh, NC; and 10 grandchildren, Matt Pursley and wife Lesslie, Mark Pursley, Miranda Lindsey, Curtis Lowe, Jr., Tyler Hill, Joseph Hill, Davis Hill, Cassidi Hill, Griffin Hill, and Steve Teague. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by Alice Betsy Anderson Lindsey.

A memorial service will be 11 AM Monday at University Lutheran Church, Clemson, SC. The family will receive friends, at the church, immediately following the service.

A graveside service will be 2 PM Tuesday in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the S.C. Wildlife Federation, 215 Pickens Street, Columbia, SC 29205, or to the charity of one's choice.

The family is at the home.
