Louis Locher

Louis James Locher, 85, of 233 Hickory Drive, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009, at his home.
Born November 27, 1923, in St. Michael, PA, to a family of fifteen, he was a son of the late Louis and Myrtle Yoder Miller Locher. Mr. Locher retired from FP&E Railroad in Fairport Harbor, OH, and had lived in Mentor, OH. He was a US Army veteran of World War II where he fought in five different battles in Germany.
Surviving are his wife of fourteen years, Edna "Madge" Black Locher of the home; a son, Charles Locher and wife, Barbara, of Easley; three step-children, Henry Black and wife, Veronica, of Gray Court, Grady Black and wife, Kathy, of Hollywood, FL, and Edna Watts and husband, Bob, of Easley; three brothers, Clyde Locher of Fl, Bob Locher of OH, and Edward Locher of PA; a sister, Venetta Lewis of OH; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Locher was predeceased by his first wife, Bissie J. Hertzog Locher, by a son, Terry Lou Locher, and by brothers and sisters, John, Hanna, and Walter Locher, Dorsey Miller, Ellen Locher and Miller Perry.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Calvary Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
