Louise Kay Bowers, 65, widow of James Loyd Bowers, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. A native of Anderson she was the daughter of the late Dewitt Lester and Lois Louise Moore Kay. She received an Associate Degree from Anderson College and was an instructor at Picken County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs. She loved being around people and had a special love for her community and her family.

She is survived by sons, David Bowers (Susie) of Belton and Don Bowers (Cynthia) of Central; daughters, Susan Kay (Wendell) of Pendleton and Debbie Croxton (Calvin) of Anderson; brother, Daniel L. "Dan" Kay (Betty) of Clinton; grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Jason and Joanna Croxton, Terry (Shelly) and William Bowers, Lynn Fowler and Macy Siegler and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 5pm Tuesday at Norris 1st Baptist Church with burial to follow in Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-5pm at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Norris First Baptist Church, 118 N. Norris Drive, Norris, SC 29667
