Louise H. Floyd

Margaret Louise Howard Floyd, 87, of 103-D Fairview Oaks Lane,
peacefully went to be with the Lord, Monday December 8, 2008 at Palmetto Health Baptist - Easley.
Mrs. Floyd was born in Greenville, a daughter of the late James Francis and Nora Lee Riddle Howard. She was a graduate of Winthrop University and a member of Easley First Baptist Church, the Philathia Sunday School Class and the DAR. She was a teacher and a homemaker.
Louise enjoyed singing in the church choir, volunteering at the hospital, and doing craftwork such as knitting, needle point and cross stitch. Despite her advanced years, she enjoyed good health until the very end and was active in the community. She enjoyed learning new challenges, and remained an ever optimistic person who, never thinking of herself, was always supporting and promoting others. She lived a truly Christian life since Christ was ever present with her. Until she fell ill, she seldom missed a church service or Sunday School. She loved and enjoyed her many friends in the upstate as well as across the country, and she remained steadfastly and forever devoted to her family.
Surviving is adaughter, Pamela Anne Floyd, of San Antonio, Texas ; a son, Dr. Charles Timothy Floyd and his wife, Buff, of Eagle, Idaho ; brothers, James F. Howard, Jr. of Greenville, SC and Charles T. Howard and his wife, Marguerite, of Birmingham, Alabama ; a sister, Mary Crosland, of Easley, SC and five grandchildren, Ambriel Floyd, Jessica Floyd, Carl Floyd IV, Jonathan Noble and Rachael Noble.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Floyd, Jr.; a son, Carl Floyd, III and a brother, Ben Howard.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the Chapel of Easley First Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. John M. Adams officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 AM Saturday. Members of the Philathia Sunday School Class are invited to serve as honorary escort for the service.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, prior to the service, at the church.
