Louise D. Gilstrap
Easley, SC
Louise Dickard Gilstrap, 85, beloved wife of the late John Wayne Gilstrap, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Judson and Mary Leroy Dickard.
Mrs. Gilstrap retired from Mayfair Mills, Glenwood Plant, after over 30 years of dedicated service. She was a longtime member of Glenwood Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and growing beautiful flowers in her yard.
Surviving are her children, Lisha Gilstrap Roper of Pickens, and Tony Gilstrap (Pam) of Dacusville; grandchildren, Randy Waldrop (Jenna), Judd Gilstrap (Faith), Travis Roper (Jensa), Deidra Roper Bishop (Christopher), and Jesse Simmons; and great-grandchildren, Anna Waldrop, Maddison Roper, Makenzie Gilstrap, Raylan Gilstrap, Bradley Bishop, and John Luke Bishop; a sister, Inez Hendrix of Easley; and brothers, Randall Dickard of Sandy Springs, Reverend Robert Dickard of Anderson, and Reverend Wayne Dickard of Powdersville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Connie Gilstrap Waldrop; a grandson, Joshua Waldrop; a son-in-law, Mike Roper; and brothers, Charles, Harold, and Fred Dickard.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 10:30 AM until 11:50 AM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glenwood Baptist Church, 325 Saco Lowell Road, Easley, SC 29640.
