Louise Looper Gossett, 82, of 162 Looper Road, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 at McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville.

Born in Pickens County, Mrs. Gossett was a daughter of the late Leonard Pickens and Pearl Lance Looper. She graduated from Berea High School and retired from Stone Manufacturing. Mrs. Gossett was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where she belonged to the Nancy King Sunday School Class.

Surviving are her husband of sixty-two years, David Ramsey Gossett, of the home; one son, David Bryan Gossett of Easley; one daughter, Kathy Constance (Mike) of Easley; two brothers, Leonard P. Looper, Jr. and E. Frank Looper Sr., both of Easley; four grandchildren, Robby Raines, Ryan Gossett, Shaunda Gossett, and Jason Constance; and four great-grandchildren, Kevin Raines, Taylor Raines, Emilee Moore and Allison Moore.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Reverend Paul Turner officiating. The committal service will follow in the church cemetery conducted by the Reverend Jim Ed Looper.

Escort of Honor will be the Nancy King Sunday School Class.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Sunday and will be placed in the church at 10:30 AM Monday.

The family is at the home of Mike and Kathy Constance, 159 Looper Road, Easley, SC 29640.
