Mrs. Louise Maria Chavis Martin, 79, of Easley, loving wife of the late James Walter "Jim" Martin, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Martin was born in Pembroke, NC, a daughter of the late Hartman and Letha Hardin Chavis. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

Mrs. Martin is survived by three sons; Larry Joe Rogers, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Six Mile, Angelo Brian Rogers of Easley, and John Hartman Rogers (Michelle) of Piedmont; two brothers, Bill and Marvin Chavis, both of Easley; two sisters, Cindy Lewis and Naomi Merck, both of Easley and two grandchildren; John Adrian Rogers and Dylan Andrew Rogers. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Martin was predeceased by a brother, Buddy Chavis and a sister, Helen Raxter. 

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 28, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.

Family members are at their respective homes.
