Louise Hendrix Newell

Louise Hendrix Newell, 76, passed away on January 25, 2026. Louise was born in Six Mile, SC, to the late Cleo Hendrix and Wilma Hendrix Buchanan.

Louise dedicated over 30 years to her work at Clemson University, where she was known for her loving and caring nature.

Louise had a special talent for needle crafts such as cross stitch, crochet and knitting and enjoyed reading in her free time.

Family meant everything to her, and she was the cornerstone of the family, the one who care of everyone else. Louise will be remembered for the warmth she shared with those around her and the joy she found in spending time with her friends and loved ones.

Louise is survived by her cherished husband, Dwight Newell; son, Jerry Newell (Ashley); daughter, Angela Codespoti (Daniel); brothers, Jimmy Hendrix, and Larry Hendrix; grandchildren, William Newell, Lauren Newell, Erin Ford, Emily Ford, Christopher Codespoti, and Almirena Codespoti; and great grandchild, Emma Newell.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, from 1:00 to 1:45 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held following visitation in the chapel starting at 2 PM.
