Lovera Ester Miller Perkins, 86, of 218 Noble Road, wife of the late Leonard Perkins, went home to be with the Lord at 11:35 AM on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Swords Creek, VA, a daughter of the late Rufus Eldon and Lydia Marie Hale Miller, Mrs. Perkins retired from Swirl, Inc., and was a member Lenhardt Christian Fellowship where she belonged to the Ladies Auxilary.
Surviving are her children; three sons, Harry Lee Perkins (Lynn) of Easley and Larry Dee Perkins (Ann) of Marietta and Lennie Black of Easley; two daughters, Gladys Carolyn Baldwin (Jr.) and Kathy Lovevill Page (Tommy), all of Easley; a brother, Murphy Miller (Gwen) of Pittsville, MD; her little doggie, "Baby"; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Perkins was predeceased by a son, Ernest McDavid Perkins, a grandson, Timothy Steven "J.J." Lesley, three brothers, J.T. Miller, Rual Miller and Thurman "Jim" Miller; and four sisters, Kathleen Scott, Irene Guswelling, Dorothy Black and Lena Miller.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 14, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Harry Perkins, Rev. John Brown and Rev. Jim Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Keith Perkins, Russell Perkins, Brad Perkins, Chad Perkins, Jody Page, Lee Page, Tyler McCall, Hayden Wheeler, Dustin Stewart and Avery Smith. Honorary escorts will be Lennie Black, Darrell Miller, Danny Robinson and Skip Wheeler.
