Lt. Col. Russel John Brahmer, USAF Ret., 91, husband of the late Anne Pickup Brahmer, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at his home.
Born in Medford, Wisconsin, a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Weber Brahmer, Lt. Col. Brahmer retired from the US Air Force and served in WWII. After his military retirement he owned and operated Christian Handcraft Woodworking and Fine Furniture. He attended Southside Fellowship Church, Greenville.
Surviving are five sons, Russel Brahmer (Susan) of Fountain Inn, SC, Robert Brahmer of Arizona, Ron Brahmer (Virginia) of Otto, NC, Mark Brahmer (Kathy) of Georgia, and Ken Brahmer of Otto, NC; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be noon Monday, October 20, 2014 in the MJ Dolly Cooper Veteran's Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
