Wilton Lucile Smith, 89, formerly of Easley, wife of the late Rev. Harry Smith, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at McCall Hospice House.

Mrs. Smith was born March 14, 1922 in Greenville County. She was a retired Christian school teacher and a Special Worker in the South Carolina District of the Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Smith was a former Child Evangelism teacher and a piano teacher. She and her husband, Rev. Harry Smith, served together in ministry at several churches in the area and in Alabama and North Carolina where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Pianist or Organist. She is a graduate of ICS School of Journalism, attended Furman University and Southern Wesleyan University.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, Judy Smith Hall (John) of Piedmont and Harry Smith, Jr. (Tara) of Myrtle Beach; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, August 26, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow at 4:00 PM in the Iva City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of her daughter, 534 Bonanza Circle, Piedmont, SC 29673.
