Lucille Hildreth Garvin, 90, wife of the late Gerald Roscoe Garvin, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Foothills Presbyterian Community.

Born in Northfork, West Virginia, Mrs. Garvin graduated from the School of Nursing at Duke University, and served in the U.S. Army. An active member at Easley Presbyterian Church since 1959, she served on the Board of the Salvation Army, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Never one to sit for too long, Mrs. Garvin traveled throughout the U.S. She enjoyed hiking and camping with her family and wildflower identification. A highlight of her active life were classes at the YMCA. Most of all she cherished time with her family.

Surviving are a son, Brent A.Garvin (Dawn) of Mooresville, NC; a daughter, Gail G. Hall (Larry) of New Haven, CT; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Foothills Presbyterian Community, with the Reverends Julie Schaaf and Christie Sweeny Gravely officiating.

Visitation will immediately follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Foothills Presbyterian Community, 205 Bud Nalley Drive, Easley, SC 29642 or to the charity of one's choice.
