Lucille Mildred Johnson, 85, formerly of Atlantic Avenue, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Oakmont West Living Center.
Born in Woodruff, a daughter of the late John and Lizzie McGatley Johnson, Miss Johnson retired from textiles and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church where she formerly taught Sunday School for over forty years.
Surviving are a sister, Lula Mae Brown of Piedmont; a niece and caregiver, Charlene Jennings of Piedmont; and by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Johnson was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services wil be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family is at the home of her sister, Lula Mae Brown, Apt. 3106 Signature Pointe Apartments, Emily Drive, Piedmont, SC 29673.
