Lucille C. Koeplin
July 17, 1929 – March 17, 2023
Lucille was born on July 17, 1929, to Harold and Anguel Pitts in Lansing, Michigan. She graduated from Lansing Sexton High School in June 1947. Lucille worked at Mutual Liability INS. Co. In Toledo, Ohio from July 1947 to September 1950. From September 1950 to May 1952, she worked for the State of Michigan. She also enjoyed her time as a secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fenton, Michigan – a position she held for over 20 years.
Lucille married her beloved husband, Harold, on May 24, 1952. They enjoyed 71 wonderful years of marriage that included traveling, golfing, cardplaying, bowling, and MSU tailgating. They were also active members of their church and enjoyed many functions with the friends they met along the way.
Together they raised four children: Angela (Greg) Reighard, Kurt (Laura) Koeplin, Lisa Wheeler, and Matthew Koeplin from which they were blessed with eight beautiful grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother.
Lucy enjoyed sewing, a variety of arts and crafts, playing cards and taking pictures of her family, friends and many delightful moments to share in her photo albums. Harold and Lucille decided to permanently settle in Clemson, South Carolina in 2011 after years of splitting their time between Elk Rapids, Michigan and Clemson.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dorothy and brother-in-law, Samuel Alagna.
Services for Lucille will be held on at 11:00 AM Monday, March 27, 2023, at Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church, 220 Carson Rd., Seneca, SC 29678.
Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
