Ms. Lucille Carlisle Mewbourn, 77, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Sylvester Lowe Carlisle and the late Beulah McCall Carlisle, Mrs. Mewbourn retired from Forest Acres Elementary School and later worked for the Easley Police Department as a Traffic Guard. She was of the Baptist faith.

Lucille loved spending time with her family, and loved her children and grandchildren with her whole heart. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her son, Ronnie D. Mewbourn of Easley; her daughter, Janice L. Alley of Liberty; three brothers, Charles Carlisle of Slab Town, Tommy Carlisle of Easley, and Jerry Carlisle of Pickens; one sister, Elizabeth Spearman of Easley; and her ten grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mewbourn was predeceased by her husband, Donnie D. Mewbourn; a son, Steven D. Mewbourn; one brother, James Carlisle; and two sisters, Mildred Lesley and Nancy Marchbanks.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 6, 2022 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
