Lucy Mae McDonald Finley, 89, of Easley, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born January 3, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Elbert Newton McDonald, Sr. and the late Julie Nations McDonald. Mrs. Finley was a bright student and graduated early from high school before marrying her sweetheart Henry W. Finley. She was a loving and devoted mother to her children and enjoyed taking care of her home and garden. Mrs. Finley was a devout Christian who was a member of Jones Hill Church of God for many years.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy "Ellen" Finley of Easley; and her sister Nellie "Nell" Cannon (Charles) of Travelers Rest.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Finley is predeceased by her two sons, Franklin Finley and Marshall E. Finley; and her brothers Elbert N. McDonald, Jr., Charles McDonald, Buford McDonald, and James McDonald.
The family will hold a memorial service on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 3:00 PM at LIFEchurch (formerly Dacusville Church of God) and will receive friends following the service.
