Lucy G. Heller, widow of Walter Ralph Heller, Sr., died March 17 following an extended illness.
She was born in Atlanta, the daughter of the late Luther A. and Martha Lebby Gambill. She was a graduate of the Fassifern School for Girls in Hendersonville, NC and East Carolina Teachers College in Greenville, NC.
Surviving are two sons, the Rev. W. Ralph Heller, Jr. and wife Rose of Greensboro, NC; and Robert G. Heller and wife Elaine of Clemson. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Kristine Wood and husband Jerry of Huntingtown, MD; Phillip J. Heller and wife Monique of Brooklyn, NY; Robert G. Heller, Jr., and wife Alice of Clemson; and Richard G. Heller of Clemson. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, Andrew Wood, Austin Wood, Tripp Heller, Taylor Heller, Will Heller, Graham Heller, Anna Heller, Sarah Heller, and Reid Heller. She was predeceased by a brother, Luther A. Gambill.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday at the Old Stone Church Cemetery in Clemson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to University Lutheran Church, PO Box 1337, Clemson, SC 29631
