Mrs. Luella Cox Hood, 81 of Easley, wife of the late Henry Earl Hood, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Hood was born April 26, 1929 in Easley a daughter of the late George Cox and the late Viola Traynham Cox. She was a graduate of Easley High School and attended Lander College. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Georgia Cox Norton.
She is survived by her son, George Hood and wife Donna; daughter, Susan Tate and husband Rick all of Easley; grandchildren, Zachary Hood, Tyler Hood, Amanda Foster, Jessica Merck, and Audrey Tate; great-grandchildren, Ella Beth Foster, and London Foster.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Mark Ford officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Road Baptist Church 160 Cross Roads Church Rd. Easley, SC 29640.
The family would like to thank the special caregivers for their compassionate care and friendship over the past 6 years.
The family would also like to express thanks to Gentiva Hospice.
