Lula Mary Reid Freeman, 60, of 611 A Belmina Street and wife of Joe D. Freeman, died Friday, October 1, 2010.

Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of Rose Emma Goodett Reid of Pendleton and the late Purcell Reid. Lula was a retired employee of Clemson University and was a member of Silver Springs Baptist Church in Pendleton where she was a member of the Women's Missionary Society.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Josephus Daniel Freeman, Jr. of Pendleton; daughter, Danita Worden and husband, Victor of Pendleton; step-son, Roy Scott and wife, Chenice of Anderson; brother, Robert Reid of Clemson; sisters, Caroline Reid of Pendleton and Ann Reid of Patches, SC; grandchildren, Keona Freeman, Courtney Freeman, Jayda Worden, Jordan Worden, Lamar Scott, Tristan Scott, Chantal Scott and Deniesha Williams.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday at Silver Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson.

The body will be placed in the church at 1 PM, Wednesday prior to the service where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM.

The family is at the home.
