Lula Mae Sherman Skelton, 86, of 2723 Hwy. 86, died Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.
Born in the Mountain Springs Community, she was a daughter of the late Samuel "Sam" and Dolly Timms Sherman. She was a graduate of Welcome High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph K. Skelton; an infant son; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday in the mausoleum of Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville with Reverend Gene Neely officiating.
Visitation will be will be prior to the service at the mausoleum from 1 PM until 2 PM on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Springs Baptist Church; 327 Mountain Springs Road; Piedmont, SC 29673.
