Mr. Luther Cleo Gantt, 80, husband of the late Beatrice Holcombe Gantt, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 at his home.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Charlie and Leila Roper Gantt, Mr. Gantt retired from the US Air Force and later retired from the US Postal Service.
Surviving are four sons, William F. Gantt (Cindy) of Liberty, Kenneth W. Gantt (Margaret) of Hayesville, KS, Donald R. Gantt (Kathy) of Taylors, and Greg Gantt (Sharon) of Six Mile; one sister, Alice Shrum of Bethpage, TN; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Gantt was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and William Gantt; three sisters, Faye Wilhoit, Bertha Barnett, and Louise Barton; and a granddaughter, Angel LaDonna Gantt.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Westview Cemetery, Easley with military honors.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service, at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home, 105 Powers Drive, Easley, SC 29640.
