Luther Adolph Rushing, 72, of 3012 Quail Ridge Road and husband of Patricia DeHaven Rushing, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at AnMed Health Center in Anderson.
Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, a son of the late Charles W. and Ina Campbell Rushing, he was a retired employee with Western Electric and was a life member of the Bell South/AT&T Pioneers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Thomas Rushing of Anderson, Indiana and James Schmidt of Belton, SC; three daughters, Cindy Kiser of Anderson, Indiana and Susan Hall and Vicki Hall both of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two brothers, James Rushing and William Rushing both of Biloxi, Mississippi; one sister, Winona Pierce of Madison, AL; and six grandchildren.
A celebration of the life of Luther A. Rushing will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Big Smiles Dental Program; c/o Donnie Campbell; 4302 Edgewater Way; Anderson, SC 29621.
