Eva Lynda Johnson, 76, of 1013 Saluda Dam Road, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at her home.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Thomas M. Johnson, Sr., and the late Nan Lucille Bowen Johnson, Miss Johnson graduated from Winthrop University and retired as a teacher with the Pickens County School District after thirty-two years of service. She was a member of Easley First United Methodist Church where she formerly taught Sunday School.
Surviving is a sister, Nancy J. Henderson and husband, Dwight, of Cartersville, GA; and four nephews and one niece. In addition to her parents, Miss Johnson was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Monroe Johnson, Jr.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Tripado, David Henderson, Jonathan Henderson, Mike Johnson, Drew Johnson and Jerry Johnson.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:45 PM Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 589, Easley, SC 29641.
The family is at the residence.
