M. Preston "Pete" Henry, 81, of Easley, husband to Alice Youngblood Henry, passed away March 9, 2021.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Carl and Martha A. King Henry. Pete graduated from Easley High School and Wofford College. Mr. Henry served his country in the United States Army. He worked many years for Alice Manufacturing and retired as Vice President of Mayfair Mills. In retirement, Pete worked as a part time associate with Robinson Funeral Home. Pete was a longtime and dedicated member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Trustee and many other capacities.
Pete is survived by his wife of fifty nine years, Alice Youngblood Henry; son, Rev. Philip W. Henry (Sharon) of Easley; daughters, Terri Paris (Myron) of Greer and Andrea Lewis (Brad) of Easley; grandchildren, Casey Paris (Christa), Emily Styles (Stefan), Brittany Paris, Katelyn Foxworth (Brantley), Kyle Henry (Bethany), Keaton Henry (Fiance, Corley Wood), Kristin Lewis and Nicholas Lewis; great grandchildren, Sophie Paris, Millie Paris and Miller Foxworth.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Carlyle Henry.
Funeral service will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home, Powdersville Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.
The family will receive friends prior to service from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
