Mabel L. King -

Mabel Lorain King, 92, formerly of 1011 Gentry Memorial Highway, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Arvel "Mose" and Esther Hendrix King, Miss King retired from Alice Manufacturing Company and was a member of Arial Baptist Church where she taught in the Children's Department for many years.
Surviving are one brother, A. Kendall King of Easley; two sisters, Virginia Breazeale and Sarah Masters, both of Easley; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss King was predeceased by a brother, Ray King.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with Rev. Dr. Danny Parton officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family is at the home of Horace and Virginia Breazeale.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Ellen Owens, Denise King and the entire staff of West End Retirement Center for the loving care they provided Miss King for the past six years.
