Mable Owen Ward, 92, of 8515 Highway 81 North, wife of the late Reverend Jack Bayne Ward, went to be with the Lord Sunday January 27, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House.

Mrs. Ward was born in Liberty, SC, the daughter of the late Deward and Addie Roper Owen. She was a charter member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church and a member of the Sharing and Caring Widow's Group. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Surviving are her son, Reverend Gary Ward and his wife,Julie, of N. Charleston, SC; two daughters, Lynn Merritt and her husband,Gene, of Easley, SC and Connie Styles and her husband, Gary, of Piedmont, SC; 9 grandchildren, Tom Merritt and his wife, Allyison, of Easley, SC, Jenny Reeves and her husband, Matt, of Easley, SC, Will Merritt and his wife, Melissa, of Easley, SC, Brooks Sharp and her husband, Britton, of Knoxville, TN, Jack Ward and his wife, Meredith, of Easley, SC, Kevin Ward and his wife, Brittany, of Summerville, SC, Leigh Ward, of Greenville, SC, Brad Styles and his wife, Lisa, of Anderson, SC, and Keri Brooks and her husband, Charley, of Piedmont, SC; 14 great-grandchildren, Clark Merritt, Addie Merritt, Lydia Merritt, Emma Merritt, Tomy Reeves, Champ Reeves, Reagan Merritt, Jess Merritt, Sydney Brooks, Bayne Brooks, Remi Styles, Brennan Styles, Ames Ward and Annaleigh Sharp.

Mrs. Ward was the last surviving member of her immediate family and in addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 11 siblings.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church with the Reverend Johnny Touchet and Reverend Jeff Jowers officiating. The burial will be private.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road..

Members of the Sharing and Caring Widow's Group are invited to serve as Honorary Escort for the funeral service.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Lynda Johnson, for her loving care of Mrs. Ward.

The family is at the home of Lynn and Gene Merritt, 8515 Highway 81 North, Easley, SC.
