Edna M. Locher

Edna Madlin Locher, 94, of Easley, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, March 5, 2018 in her home surrounded by family and friends.
Born January 23, 1924 in Waycross, GA, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Edna Lee Tyre. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Loyd "Red" Black, and second husband, Lou Locher; brothers, Jack Tyre, Royce "Bo" Tyre, Harry Tyre; and a sister, Modesta "Dess" Kelly.
Mrs. Locher was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and was so very proud of them all. She had a huge heart for her family, friends and church, Morning Star Independent Baptist in Easley. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her brother, Billy Tyre, sisters, Betty Jo Blinson, Wanda Wagner and Patsy Ann Woods; children, Henry Black (Veronica), Grady R. Black (Kathy) and Edna Watts (Bob); grandchildren, Loyd Black, Frank Black (Pam), Kathy Hammons (John), Kim Floyd, Bobby Watts (Jennifer), Marie Black, Kenneth "Ponchie" Black (Shannon), Sammy Watts, Grady Black, Jr. (Molly); great grandchildren, Coty Black (Hayley), Dylan Black (Maiko), Michael Rogers, Alyssa Black, Justin Wood (Tasha), Tyler Wood, Tyler Rogers, Ryan Floyd, Halee Watts, Lani Black, Madeline Potter, Olivia Hammons and one on the way; great-great grandchildren, Silas and Jozie Black, Jayden and Alana Black, Kylie, Khonner and Karter Rogers; and special friends, Bleu and Janice Watkins.
The family would like to send a special thanks to her caregivers in final days; Earline Roper, Brandie Bray and Anne Marie Maroney. These ladies were very attentive to her needs and the needs of the family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Wesleyan Church in Easley.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Morning Star Independent Baptist Church, 111 N. Cedar Rock Road, Easley, SC 29640.
The family will be at the home.
