Mamie Sue Melton Weaver, 90, wife of Odell Clifton Weaver, of Easley, SC, went home to continue her relationship with her Lord and Savior June 26, 2012.
Born in Brevard, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lyda Logan Melton and Addie Owens Melton. Mrs. Weaver was a member of Easley Church of God. She and her husband celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on June 17 of this year.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Robert Clifton Weaver, of Easley; a sister, Martha Ann Melton Canup, of Hendersonville, NC; a grandson, David Tyler Weaver; three nieces, Betty Brown Henderson, Susan Brown Durant, and Debbie Williams; four nephews, Claude E. Melton, Jr., Johnny Melton, Ricky and Tommy Canup.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Claude Edward Melton, and Lloyd Frank Melton; and a sister, Helen Melton Brown.
Celebration of her life will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 29, 2012 at Easley Church of God with the Reverend Steve Knight officiating.
The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Brevard, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Easley Church of God Benevolence Fund, P.O. Box 443, Easley, SC 29641.
The family is at the home.
