Marc H. Walton IIISalem, SCMarc Hubert Walton III, 70, of Salem, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 surrounded by his family.Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Marc graduated from Bucknell University in 1967.  He retired as an executive with Fluor Corporation in 2004, having served in the construction, operations, and maintenance divisions for over 30 years.  During his retirement, Marc enjoyed woodworking, golf, restoring his 1961 Corvette, and spending time with his family.Marc is survived by his wife, Carol Armitage Walton; his son, Seth Tyson Walton of Atlanta, GA and his wife Kirsten; his daughter, Laura Walton Adair of Gray Court, SC and her husband Roby; his five grandchildren, Walton Scott Adair, Caroline Elizabeth Adair, Audrey Peace Walton, Cecilia Alice Walton, and Louise Tilly Walton; his sister, Susan Greenhill of Mamaroneck, NY; and his brother, James Walton of Raleigh, NC.Marc is preceded in death by his parents, Marc Hubert Walton Jr. and Elizabeth Morgan Walton.Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC.  The family will greet friends immediately following the service.The family would like to thank Dr. Barry Blackston and Dr. Wayne Hollinger for their compassionate care over the past thirteen years.Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville, 113 Mills Ave., Greenville, SC 29605 or www.cancersocietygc.org.Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or at the funeral home.
