Marcella Jordan

Marcella Elizabeth Kirkham Jordan of Pendleton, SC passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on October 11, 1941, in Anderson, SC to Charles and Geneva Kirkham. She attended Girls’ High School in Anderson and Anderson College. She married Jerry Jordan on September 2, 1960. Together they raised four children, lovingly cared for their aging parents, aunts and uncles, worked and retired from Clemson University, and enjoyed traveling across the United States in their RV. They made it to or through all 48 continental states.

Over the years, Marcella was a faithful member of East Clemson Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Pendleton, and Welcome Baptist Church of Pendleton. She taught Sunday School and supported church missions. She enjoyed gardening and often provided home-grown flower arrangements for the church altar.

When her children were small and she was a stay-at-home mom, she began a cake decorating business and created many beautiful and delicious cakes for her friends/customers. She was also active in her children’s Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops.

Marcella is survived by her husband Jerry Jordan of Pendleton; her sons Brad Jordan of Central and Derrick Jordan of Clemson, and daughter Lanie Williams of Plano, TX. She lost her daughter Janet Jordan in 1990. She is also survived by grandchildren Christopher Williams of San Mateo, CA, Pavlina Williams of Austin, TX, Jeremy Williams of Dallas, TX, and Will Jordan of Six Mile, SC, as well as great-grandchild Easton Jordan. She lost her granddaughter Abby Jordan in 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Kirkham, Jr. 

Services will be held on Friday, February 21 at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd, Central, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM; the service will begin at 2:00 PM.
