Margaret Nelms Edmondson, formerly of Tarboro, NC, died Monday, September 8, 2008 at the Clemson Downs Health Care Center in Clemson, SC.
A resident of Clemson, SC since 1994, Mrs. Edmondson was born in Suffolk, VA on December 21, 1909. She was a daughter of Matilda and Clyde Nelms. She was predeceased by her husband, Harvey Thomas Edmondson.
Mrs. Edmondson is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Larry Bauer of Clemson, SC; two grandsons and their wives, Bill and Margaret Bauer of Columbia, SC, WO1 Tom and Deborah Bauer of Ft. Rucker, AL; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Edmondson was a long-time member of St. James United Methodist Church in Tarboro, NC as well as a number of civic organizations.
Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 3:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Jim Wilson and the Rev. Caswell Shaw.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that any memorials be made to St. James United Methodist Church; 211 East St. James Street; Tarboro, NC 27886.
