Margaret Arcena Galloway, 83, of 577 Robert P. Jeanes Road, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Baptist Easley Hospital.

Born in Pickens County on June 9, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Claude C. and Marie Harris Galloway. Miss Galloway was a graduate of Easley High School and graduated from Greenville General Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. She was employed by Dr. Thomas Goldsmith in Greenville until his retirement and then was employed with Baptist Easley Hospital and retired as a nursing supervisor. Miss Galloway was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Venice Robertson and husband, Charles, of Easley; a niece, Dianne Fortner; two great-nephews, Ben Fortner and wife, Stacey, and Scott Fortner and wife, Lynn; and a very special great-great-niece, Mia Fortner. In addition to her parents, Miss Galloway was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth "Lib" McKinney and her husband, Jim McKinney, and by a nephew, Steve Robertson.

Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Alton Nix officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to Park Street Baptist Church, 114 Robinson Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.

The family is at the home of Venice Robertson, 589 Robert P. Jeanes Road, Easley, SC 29640.
