Margaret Elizabeth Broome Hamilton, 88, of Countryside Village and widow of James Monroe Hamilton Jr., died, Friday, December 29, 2006.
Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Hugh and Elberta Roof Broome. She was a retired school teacher, was a member of Perry United Methodist Church, Perry, GA and was a US Navy Veteran of WWII.
Surviving are a son, James Monroe Hamilton III and his wife Cara of Greenville; a sister, Carolyn McAlister of Lilburn, GA; grandchildren, Michael Hamilton of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Ali Hamilton and Rachael Hamilton both of Greenville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Spencer Hamilton.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday at Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. Cy Rogers officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the home of Jim and Cara Hamilton, 119 Birch River Road, Greenville, SC 29611.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation, 110 Dillon Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
