Mrs. Margaret D. Junkin, 91, of 2302 Old Easley Bridge Rd, wife of the late Robert A. Junkin, Sr, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Oakmont West Nursing Center.

Born July 12, 1920 in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Julia Ballew Dickerson. Mrs. Junkin retired from Ivey�??s Department Store with seventeen years of service and was an active member of Welcome Baptist Church since 1952.

Mrs. Junkin is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Junkin; sisters, Patricia Compton and Ann Cash; granddaughter, Julie Schirripa; great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Joey and Jace; daughter-in-law, Beverly Junkin.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son Robert "Tony" Junkin, Jr.; brothers, Donald Dickerson and Bill Dickerson; sister, Dorothy Towe.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
