Margaret Louise Lederhaas

Margaret Louise Roeder Lederhaas, 77, wife of Walter William Lederhaas, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Born on February 7, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Max P. and Lillian Holliday Roeder.

Margaret was a caregiver at heart, having worked her career as a nurse at Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis, NY, and then as a private duty nurse for critically ill children. She also loved caring for her beloved animals, always having a dog or a cat as part of the family. She was also an avid crafter, having created many crochet and sewing projects.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her son Anthony Lederhaas of Six Mile; her daughter Kelly Gunter (Eddie) also of Six Mile; her grandchildren Debbie Gaillard and Dylan Chapman; her seven great-grandchildren; her twin sister Mary McKinley of Hartwell, GA; many loving nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Samantha.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home & Crematory.
