Margaret Ann Blankenship Mitchell, 84, wife of Amis Andrew “Andy” Mitchell, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the home of her son in Easley, SC.

Born in Somerville, AL, she was a daughter of the late Cameron and Lola Lott Blankenship.

Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, painting, and working in her garden.

Surviving is her husband of 68 years, Andy; her children, Randy Arthur Mitchell (Kathy), Gary Mitchell, Michael Dean Mitchell, and Vickie Lee Mitchell Swader; grandchildren, Amos Mitchell (Jenn), Andrew Mitchell (Melina), Tony Swader, Adam Swader, Helena Mitchell, Kimberly and Annie; great-grandchildren, Regan Mitchell, Chasity Jacobs, Elizabeth, Joshua and Timothy Mitchell.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Craig Lavoy Mitchell and Kevin Mitchell; grandchildren, Roxann and Crystal; and sisters, Jean, Lee, Joyce, and Mickie.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in Mitchell Cemetery in Horse Ridge, VA.
