Margaret Powell Nix, 85, wife of he late Charles Edward Nix, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Mrs. Nix was born in Pickens County and was a daughter of the late, Lemuel and Ann Wilson Powell. She served as secretary of Calumet Baptist Church, was a member of Calumet Baptist Church and the Oneida Mahaffy Sunday School Class.

Surviving are one sister, Marie Patterson of FL.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Kenneth, Herbert and Carrol Powell; and one sister, Agnes Henderson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
