Margaret Gilstrap Youngblood Patterson, 83, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Greenville Health and Rehabilitation.


Mrs. Patterson was twice married, first to the late Claude Robert Youngblood and secondly, to the late Daniel Lawrence Patterson.


Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Morris Gilstrap and Beulah Eva Ann Capps Gilstrap.


Mrs. Patterson was a homemaker. She was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church and attended Park Street Baptist Church. She loved her family, traveling and camping.


Surviving are her children, Bobby Youngblood and wife, Miriam, of Greenville and Karen Looper and husband, Scott, of Easley; four grandchildren, Brett, Matt and Beth Youngblood and Missy Looper; three great-grandchildren, Sidney Looper, Sawyer and Scotlynn Looper-Searcy; a brother, Earl “Butch” Gilstrap of Easley; and three sisters, Gladys Jones of Goose Creek, SC, Della Waldrop and Maxine Stephens both of Easley.


In addition to her husbands and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Fleda Forrest, Annie Lou Gilstrap, Frances Gilstrap, Lake, Doyle, Melvin and Buck Gilstrap.


The family will receive friends Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Graveside services to follow at 3:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Park.


Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Pickens County Meals on Wheels, PO Box 184, Easley, SC 29641.


The family will be at their respective homes.
