Margaret Erskine Thrasher, 78, of Easley S.C. passed away on Saturday, October 20th 2018 after long illness.
Born March 19th, 1940 in Anderson, S.C. She was the daughter of the late James Roddey Erskine and Eunice Martin Erskine. Two sisters and one brother proceeded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Douglas Thrasher; two sons, Dr. James Brantley Thrasher and wife, Laurie of Leawood, Kansas, granddaughter Madeline Thrasher of Mission, Kansas; James Erskine Thrasher and wife, Leslie of Asheville, N.C., two grandsons, Colton and Luke Thrasher; daughter Alesia Thrasher Sciotto and husband Scott of Roswell, Georgia, grandson Jake Sciotto of Alpharetta, Georgia and granddaughter, Hannah Sciotto of Atlanta, Georgia.
Her grandson, James Brantley Thrasher Jr., proceeded her in her death.
Margaret was a long time resident of Anderson, S.C. but moved to The Foothills Presbyterian Community of Easley, S.C. with her husband in 2007.
She loved to cook, arrange flowers, and play bridge. She enjoyed the beach and visiting with the grandchildren. She was a former member of Central Presbyterian Church in Anderson, S.C. and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Anderson, S.C.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October, 27th at 2:00 pm at the Chapel at The Foothills Presbyterian Community of Easley, S.C. with a reception for family and friends to follow.
