Margaret Pilgrim Willis, 78, of Central, wife of Tommy Willis, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, at AnMed, after a long illness. She was born in Anderson County October 14, 1943, a daughter of Clyde T. and Frances Beasley Pilgrim.
Margaret, who was a hard worker her entire life, never met a stranger. She retired from Clemson University, and although she had faced adversity in her life, she always had a smile on her face. In her spare time, she loved doing crossword puzzles. She loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas Willis; two nephews, David Pilgrim and his wife, Tanya, and Brian Pilgrim and his wife, Denise; and niece, Donna Aiken and her husband, Wayne; and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Stacey, Walter, and George Swaney; a brother, Clyde "Buddy" Pilgrim; and sister-ion-law Sandra Dunlap Pilgrim.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM Thursday, March 17th at Bishop Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 1109 Central Rd., Central, SC.
