Mrs. Margarete Baum Stone, 87, formerly of Atlantic Avenue, Easley, wife of the late Carl Montgomery Stone, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson.
Born in Kassel, Germany, a daughter of the late Karl Johann and Dina Schmidt Baum, Mrs. Stone was a homemaker and a member of Easley First Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Anita Sanders and her husband Melvin Sanders of Liberty; Inge Peters and Marianne Muth, both of Germany; one brother, Rudy Baum of Germany; one sister, Ellen Sendlak of Germany; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Stone was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Baum.
Funeral services will be Noon Monday, March 14, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Greer.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until Noon Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Anita Sanders, 354 Cartee Road, Liberty, SC 29657.
