Margie McCoy Eaves, 78, wife of Donald T. Eaves, died Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the Anderson Area Medical Center. She was a native of Greer, SC and was the daughter of the late Richard and Ruth Tate McCoy. She retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Company after 39 years of service. She was the 8th employee hired in South Carolina by the company. She was also active in the church; as a worker with the youth in the Chapin Baptist Church and later in the 1st Baptist Church of Pendleton in her Sunday school class and other activities.

Besides her husband she is survived by a loving and devoted Eaves family to whom she was also devoted including her brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews and also many friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2pm at the Pendleton 1st Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm and will be placed in the church on Tuesday at 1pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the youth group of the Pendleton First Baptist church, PO Box 187, Pendleton, SC 29670.
