Margie Bagwell Roper, 88, of Easley, wife of the late Wideman Roper, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Emeritus at Countryside Health Care Center.

Born in Pickens County, Mrs. Roper was a daughter of the late George Oscar and Artie Holder Bagwell. She retired from Saco Lowell and was a member of New Image Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Emily Roper of Easley, and Laura Mota (John) of Fayetteville, NC; a brother, Henry Bagwell (Barbara) of Easley; a sister, Lorine Hall of Easley; five grandchildren, Demond Roper, Renee' Ellis (Steve), Brian Perry (Tonya), Allison Rhodes (Brad), and Sean Reed (Melissa); eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Roper was predeceased by ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in the Bethel Community Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
