Mari Blanche Carpenter Benson, 44, of Church Street, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of Ralph Richard Carpenter, Jr. and Nell Watson Carpenter of Clemson. She worked as a nurses assistant and was a Veteran of the US Army.
Surviving in addition to her parents are three daughters; two sisters; and one granddaughter.
A private interment will be held at Old Stone Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Helping Hands; PO Box 561; Clemson, SC 29633 or to Alcoholics Anonymous; Greenville Intergroup; PO Box 1002; Greenville, SC 29602.
