Maria Siciak Daszykowska, 74, of Patchogue, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026. She was born in Zaczernie, Poland, to the late Tadeusz and Zofia Siciak and was the wife of the late Antoni Daszykowski.

Maria’s story began in Poland, where she met her husband while the two were attending culinary school. A licensed pastry chef with a passion for her craft, Maria married her beloved husband in the early 1970s, and together they built a successful catering business while creating a beautiful family of their own.

In her later years, Maria found joy in the simple pleasures of life, tending to her garden, window shopping, and working Polish crosswords.

Surviving are four daughters, Jadwiga Tobiasz, Maggie Wojcik, Anna Daszykowska, and Lucyna Alfieri (Joseph); a son, Stan Daszykowski (Kiara); grandchildren, Natalie Wojcik, Patrick Wojcik, Anthony and Karolina Alfieri, Kubus Tobiasz, and Caden and Hailey Daszykowski; and five brothers, Stanislaw Siciak, Franciszek Siciak, Grzegorz Siciak, Kazimierz Siciak, Marek Siciak, and a sister Halina Hazik.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Antoni Daszykowski; her parents, Tadeusz and Zofia Siciak; and two sons-in-law, Jack Wojcik and Wojciech Tobiasz.

A funeral Mass will be held at 12:15 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens, SC, with burial to follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
