Marian "Bunny" Rogers Howell, 93, formerly of Thomson, GA passed away Friday January 30, 2015 at McCall Hospice House in Greenville, SC.

Mrs. Howell was born in Atlanta, GA to the late John Rogers and Ann Swearingen Rogers Spinks. She was a 1938 graduate of Girls High School in Atlanta and a 1948 graduate of the University of Georgia where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church and for many years attended the First Baptist Church in Thomson, GA.
She served at the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, DC and was a homemaker. She also enjoyed being a gracious hostess for the bridge club and the garden club and her friends in Thomson. She was a long-time member of Belle Meade Country Club, a member of the Augusta Genealogical Society and the Daughters of the America Revolution.

Bunny was an extensive world traveler having visited most of Europe, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Libya, Finland, Russia, China and Egypt. She lived with her husband Colonel Warren F. Schubert in Izmir, Turkey while stationed at a NATO command.

Surviving is a son, Edward ("Buck") Watson Clary, Sr., of St. Marys, Georgia; step-sons, Ben O'Neal Howell, Jr. (Cecelia), Brad M. Howell (Allison) and Daniel B. Howell (Stacy); step-daughters, Susan Schubert and Nancy A. Howell; a half-sister, Julia Ann Spinks; grandchildren, Edward ("Ted") Watson Clary, Jr., Ashley Clary Durham (Lucas), Daniel B. Howell, Brad ("Marshall") Howell, Jr., Peyton L. Howell, Silas O. Howell and Ben O. Howell, III; great-grandchildren, Kaley R. Clary and Edward ("Hutch") Watson Clary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Ben O'Neal Howell, Colonel Warren F. Schubert and Captain Forrest Thurston Clary and step-parents, James R. and Martha A. Spinks.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday February 4, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Thomson, with the Reverend Dr. Leonard L. Dupree and the Reverend David Lambert officiating. A private burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.
