Marianne Barnes Miller, 90, widow of Max Gardner Miller, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

 

Marianne was born in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Homer John and Mary Elizabeth Jeffries Barnes.  She graduated with an associates degree from a business college and worked as an Administrative Assistant for a short time.  She spent most of her life as a loving wife and mother, and later grandmother.  She loved dogs and supported animal shelters and humane societies.  She also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, particularly Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Kevin Harvick.  According to her mother, Marianne was always a “Giver”; her three children can attest to this.

 

Surviving are her son, Michael (Kathy) Miller of Anderson, SC; daughters, Susan Seo of Ferndale, Michigan, and Lisa (Michael) Reynolds of Simpsonville, SC; five grandchildren, Anna Bazen (Chris), Hunter (fiancé Drew) Reynolds, Alexandra Reynolds, Ashley Reynolds, and Robert Reynolds; brother Homer (Judy) of Pittsburgh, PA.

 

Private graveside services will be held at Woodland Cemetery on the campus of Clemson University.  The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by the Rainey Hospice House of Anderson.

Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home & Cremations is assisting the family.
